I-Dash - N20 motor
This motor is what is referred to as a 'N20'* motor, which is the same size as the motor that is used in chassis like the AFX Mega G+ and the Jag DK4.
Our motor is 10 ohm, conservatively rated to run at 12V. We have tested this motor running to 20 volts with no issues. In fact, this is the same motor that is used in our 'Turbo Screw' T-Jet Inline and our upcoming 1.5" AFX chassis.
At 12 volts, it has a no load rating of 45,000 RPM.
This motor uses carbon brushes, not the metal 'feeler' brushes, which allows it to carry more current and last longer and perform better(see pic).
You might notice an increase in performance as the motor brushes break in and conform to the motor comm.
If using as a replacement motor for the Mega G+, you will need to unsolder the old motor and solder this one into place.
The motor terminals on this Dash motor are slightly offset from a horizontal plane, but this should not have any effect on soldering this motor into place (see pic).
You might need to fold the terminals flat to the endbell before soldering. If so, do so slowly and carefully as these terminals are thin hardened copper and may snap off in the process of bending.
